Works like it says. Worth the $
What this app accomplishes is impressive. Configuring wifi lights is not intuitive with the necessary alternating between network settings and the app, but the help doc enables success. Please consider tuning the color palette to reflect the color output of lights and not the iPhone screen - make the screen color match the lights. Also please consider assigning pre-saved colors to timers. Reviewers should note this app works with wifi lights, there is another app for Bluetooth lights.
What an amazing opportunity ruined. A fantastic lightbulb with a TERRIBLE app that crashes, and disconnects any time you try to use it. Every move I make trying to change a color, nothing happens, and then 30 seconds later, the bulb catches up and changes a bunch of colors and then disconnects. So disappointed I spent so much money on several bulbs. Please fix this.
The app is quite stable and comfortable to use. I had some problems with setting up one of three my bulbs but resolved after a few attempts. I think some extra features could make it even better: - open API - Apple Watch support (really hope its coming soon) - a way to enter a network name manually when connecting a bulb to wifi - ability to save bulb names and groups - I have four iPhones in house and need to define names and groups manually on each of them - stored configurations with separate settings for each bulb
The app works well except I dont understand why we dont have the dimming function under the Warm color option. Sure I will be using the different colors under the Colors section but Id find the dimming function under the Warm section much more useful.
Great app, but not as good as your others, Zhibiao Lin. Can you please add Apple Watch functionality to this WiFi Magic Light app as you have for the Bluetooth Magic Light apps?
This developer is the same for all of the wifi and Bluetooth smart LED bulbs sold on Amazon. The bulbs are made cheaply and app is even worse for all of them. The directions are horrible and the quality of the app and bulbs are even worse. DO NOT BUY
Love the bulbs. But app could be better. Please continue to improve the app.
His app doesnt allow you to set timers. Crashes over and over again. Complete waste of time. Bulb has to connect each time you select a color or timer change. Waste of time
I have not used this app with the bulb yet. So not commenting about the functionality. However, the app does not support iPhone 6 screen size.
Not sure if this will ever be part of HomeKit. But the app is decent. It would be nice if it could be accessible through the pull down notification.. I know that Philips Hue has added this feature. Im sure those who have this product would welcome this.
The app works the way it should. Only 2 small issues. On the remote settings I am unable to control the "group" I set up. I have to do the bulbs one at a time remotely. Also on the timers, you are allowed to chose a function but not allowed to use any custom scheme you have created, this makes no sense. Please update.
The microphone lighting (disco mode) addition is genius! Now you can use any audio playing and the phone will pick it up and send it to the bulb to form a pattern thats related to the song. Keep up the awesome updates! The only thing I might add is the ability to turn the light off on a timer (now you have to set the warm white or brightness percentage to 0). Thank you for optimizing this for iPhone 6 / plus.
The app it very smooth and easy to use
The app is easy and smooth-ish but it could be better for sure!
All the reviews here are pretty fake. Horrible consistency - doesn’t detect device every time.
My phone is connected to the bulbs WiFi, but the app doesnt see the bulb.
Nice app for controlling my flux bulbs. Im a bit put off, though by the relatively slow scan that is done every time the app starts. Feature request: It would be nice to have the option of a quick start, where the app wouldnt scan the network every time it starts up. Since the IP addresses of the bulbs on my LAN dont change much, the app could optionally remember the results of the last scan. That would make app startup MUCH faster. There should also be a new control to manually force a scan too.
The app works great for me. I havent had many issues. The color spectrum isnt always accurate (what is on the screen isnt what color the light is), but I suspect thats unavoidable. Any thoughts of integrating IFTTT compatibility, or working with Amazon Echo?
