could be better

This app is very useful but the process of scanning and getting into the app is slow, and is lacking home-kit features like turning on lights using siri. What I expect for future updates: home-kit compatibility and and faster scanning.

Does not work with MagicLight Pro

This app works great with the 7 watt LED bulbs but does not support the MagicLight Pro 10 watt LED bulbs I just purchased. I guess I will be returning them.

Its ok

Everything works fine except for the music feature. Its really out of sync

Super simple

App works well for setting up your light, but is missing functionality that would make it useful. Once you set it up, you can change your light colors and set alarms, but if youre not looking at the light, you have no way of knowing if its on or off. Its also not clear on how to set a timer to turn off your light-only a timer to turn it on. Its a decent app, but would like to see better organization of the options/settings and a notification or symbol that the device is on or off.

Some much needed updates

Please allow the app to work with Launcher. Please allow the app to work with 3D Touch!

App loses connection to bulbs

After upgrading to the new app it frequently loses connection to one or more bulbs on my network. Sometimes they all show, most times they do not. I have to repower the bulbs to get them to show up in the list. Even then, the response time is very laggy, frequently getting stuck in one color mode then dropping from access altogether. I bought several more bulbs based on my positive experience with the previous app and am now very frustrated. Please fix!!

Unable to connect and use

Since the new update, the light bulb has been losing connection here. I tried to reset it back to factory mode thinking it would fix the problem. Bad idea... Now I cant even connect and use the light bulb anymore. Whats the point in having this product if I cant use it anymore. Please fix this!! Ill change back to 5 stars after its fixed.

True review for the app is four stars (for a few needed UX improvements) but otherwise works great and throwing a extra star in for these skewed reviews. I have no connection issues whatsoever because I have a rock-solid network with rock-solid wifi. Dont blame the app Dev for your crappy network! Personally, I couldnt be happier with this setup.

IFFY

I like the concept and when it is working it is pretty cool, the brightness is what I need for work. The app seems to be glitchy when picking up the light bulb. I also work with special needs kids and this would be awesome if it had a timer count down! Would purchase more if it had this feature.

Only okay

I have been using this lightbulb for many months now. I use the iOS app to control it. For basic remote on/off it seems to function well. The timer never, ever loads to the correct color of light for automatic on. It always shows a double, grayish blue color. Pretty depressing. I have tried reinstalling the app. I have tried eliminating timers and re-adding them. Nothing seems to get the bulb to perform the correct color on based on a scheduled time. There are many LED lights to choose from in todays market. There are many that will interact with other remote controlled home devices. If I had it to do all over again I would try something different than this bulb, knowing what I know now.

Works okay

The app is fine. I would like to see some of the text re translated. Broken English is awkward and unprofessional. Timer function never seems to work.

There is still more that could be done

Although this app does what it can, its still limited. What I want to see done is to have presets to where I can pick what EACH lightbulb does (color, brightness, color changing, etc.) that would make this app at least a 4 star for me.

Find someone who speaks English

This app is riddled with poor gramma, misspelling, and incorrect punctuation, so much so that its difficult figuring out certain things. Ive got an idea for this company, pay an English speaker $200 to correct all this. Functionality-wise, one of my bulbs keep disappearing for the list of connected bulbs. Also, the timer is less than intuitive with its ON/OFF option. If you activate "ON/OFF" are you activating "ON" or are you activating "OFF". This is just one of several examples of how the app blows. All this tells me the company is careless and doesnt take pride in its product. Im very inclined to return my 3 bulbs (and I was going to buy many more) and try another company.
